Favorite Baby/ Toddler Books
I am a bookworm, I love to read and it was important to me that my son be exposed to as many books as he could. If he didn’t like them that’s fine but I always want him to have the option of books. Growing up my dad fed my inner bookworm, I saw him every other weekend and during that weekend we would go to Barnes and Noble and he would set me free. I spent HOURS in those aisles reading and choosing as many books as I could get my hands on. My dad never denied me a book, I could read whatever I wanted (age appropriate of course) and that was probably one of the greatest gifts he ever gave me. I grew up with an intense and deep love for the words printed on all those pages. The stories I immersed myself in became alternate worlds for me and my imagination soared. I wanted all those things for my son so I started buying him books way before he was born. Now Tyler is almost 15 months old and LOVES books, I read him 1-3 books a night ever since the day we brought him home from the hospital and maybe that was his influence or he just gets his love from his mama who knows? Now it’s his favorite he will spend all day bringing me book after book and crawling into my lap to read them all until there aren’t any books left on his shelf. Am I tired of reading “The Brave little Camper” 947 times….yes, of course but I try my very best to never deny him a story. I am not perfect and while I read as much as I can he also loves to flip through the pages and it’s just the best feeling to see him immerse himself in colorful pictures, flaps, and sounds just like I once did. I wanted to share with you some of our favorite books at the moment in hopes your little one will love them too! We are always on the lookout for new books so please share some of your favorites as well!

My First Word Book
By: Felicity Brooks
This books isn’t so much a story as a bunch of words on a page… literally. I love to let Tyler point the point picture and I say the word of what it is, that’s how we read this book but it’s just a great book for them to see and put words letters with pictures as well.
